Danso Key (Rome/Berlin) is a queerforward power trio that combines unrelenting drums, an electric cello boosted on low frequencies, an intoxicated guitar and velvety vocals: the result is warm but abrasive.

The band Danso Key was formed in 2012. On March 8th, 2013 they released the album “Golpe” on Sicilian Viceversa Records (Denovo, Gentless3) and embarked on various tours to play it in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland. In january 2019 their second album “LAVA” is released by Unrecords. The sound of Lava is the synthesis of five years of unceasing parallel activities involving the members of the band both together and separated. These go from a brilliantine fueled rock 'n' roll band to a seismic Californian improvisation group through a drony string ensemble.

The result are nine crisp songs telling the ordinary turmoils of the queer next door. The 90's are back and so is Danso Key.

"In queste dieci tracce si scorge qualche possente apertura melodica (il ritornello di “Handsome In Your Short Dress”) ma l’atteggiamento è quasi ovunque intransigente, con momenti di grandissima forza e nevrosi elettrica, fra i quali brilla per concretezza il bruciante singolo “Concave / Convexe”, poco più di un minuto dove si riconosce un’inconfondibile matrice primi Marlene Kuntz, elemento che conferma la scuola hardcore-noise a stelle e strisce come punto di riferimento più evidente dell’intero “Lava”."(Ondarock 24/01/2019)
